SK8

We have a skate park very close to our house. The boys want to go all the time. We've switched to going in the mornings....fewer teenagers to run them over.

WIPE OUT!

No tears...he got up and tried again!

OK...this is the kids size helmet. I think we might need to move up a size:)!

Lucky Find...

We found a desk we wanted to look at on craigslist...but pulling up to the house I noticed these really great chairs in the garage. We have been looking for a table and chairs for our breakfast nook. The lady said they had these chairs and a table they were selling but haven't been able to post a photo yet. LUCKY ME!!!!
Vintage teak wood table and seven chairs..love the green. The homeowners bought the house after the lady died and were in charge of getting rid of all her stuff. She even gave me a copy of the original catalog. They need a little TLC..I plan on staining the table top(has 3 extensions:) back to it's original stain. Looking forward to a project that doesn't involve unpacking a box.
the green of chairs...actual table
the actual chairs..she had the room dividers, but I didn't have room for them.

Love the green...and the chairs

Garden of the Gods

I know two posts in one day. Just trying to catch up. We were no longer tripping over boxes so we decided to go somewhere fun with Grandma before she left. We went to the Garden of the Gods about a half hour from my house. Here are a few photos: View from Visitor Center

Someday my kids will take a shot with them all smiling.

New Adventure

I haven't posted for a long time. Things have been amazingly crazy and it seemed to hard to keep my thoughts straight and so much has been unknown until recently. As most of you know we put our house up for sale and to make a long story short....we decided to use a realtor and sold our house in 10 days. Exciting yes but now what? We had decided to make Colorado Springs our next city to check out as a possibility thinking our house would be sitting on the market for a long time. So, we had to make a decision....stay and rent in Az or decide if we wanted to just take the plunge and go somewhere else. We decided to take the plunge and make Colorado Springs it. Neither of us had been there, our house was closing in 3 weeks and we still had not recieved our appraisel to know if any of it was even possible. With lots of prayer we went Colorado Springs for the first time the weekend before our house was suppossed to close. We had two and half hours with a realtor to look at the rentals available in the area we wanted to live in. Found one option, put all of our eggs in that basket hoping no one else wanted it or we were homeless. Loved the city and then moved the next weekend. The move is a story itself...26 foot trucks are not as big as they seem. We moved in Sat. Greg left Monday afternoon. My mom left this morning and it has been so crazy, but filled with blessings. Here is a photo of the house. I love going to the store around the corner and seeing mountain views. I am excited and anxious about the new life I am starting here. This is the first time I have not been surrounded by family or church. I think I will be fine.... until the first time I have to drive in snow!
